Only managed to sneak 2 hours at the plot inbetween a marathon of kitchen and decking painting. I have almost finished digging the trench that will be the new path, and there were a few admiring ‘you’re doing double digging then’. Didn’t feel I needed to disabuse them…I needed all my puff for digging anyway! I also painted half the inside of the shed white so I have a better chance of seeing where I have stashed stuff. I’ve been told it’s looking very ‘domestic’. Not sure if that’s a good thing…
The Chair was out planting whips for the revamped bit of hedge, but isn’t planning to remeasure for the new path for at least another 4 weeks, which doesn’t help my plot redesign any. May as well shift my efforts to the top of the plot after sorting out the mess I’ve already made.
The field improvement meeting was interesting but full of allotment politics which I’m not keen on getting involved in. There are definitely some strong characters there!
Back home to painting ceilings and decking boards…
