Lesson #742 – don’t plant strawberries through weed suppressant membrane. ALL the runners have rooted through it. I’m having to tear it to shreds to get the runners out and they all have a black membrane skirt.  It is going to take me ages. ARGHHHH!!! 20 potted up for the school garden, some of them absolutely titchy.

Otherwise it was a pretty good weekend. I’ve dug out more road so the last bed can go in and met my friendly new neighbour. The evil biting things are about again in the warm weather and I will be trying not to scratch too furiously for the next few days.

I need to dig the new blue bed asap so the potatoes have a home. When I stop aching.
